Winchester

This was my first trip outside London since arrived here in August 2015. At that time I was still looking for work and had plenty of spare time. I found a travel group on Meetup and decided to join them for a day trip to this lovely town Winchester.

Đây là 1 trong những chuyến đi đầu tiên ra khỏi Luân Đôn của mình, lúc đó đang tìm việc nên có rất nhiều thời gian, rãnh rỗi sinh nông nổi thế là quyết định xách ba lô lên và đi thôi. Tranh thủ lúc đang rãnh và thời tiết mùa thu nắng đẹp, những chuyến đi sau này thời tiết không được đẹp như lúc này. Thành phố nhỏ, nói thị trấn thì đúng hơn, rất dễ thương, khác hẳn với Luân Đôn ồn ào náo nhiệt, về đây có cảm giác rất yên bình, thích nhất là dòng sông nhỏ chảy ngang thị trấn. Nơi đây cũng là nơi chôn cất nhà văn nổi tiếng Jane Austen. 

Constable Country

Having my trip to Belgium cancelled after the Brussel airport attack, the overseas weekend plan was ruined and then I decided to travel within the country instead.

I visited 3 places yesterday: Colchester, Dedham Village and Flatford (both in Constable Country), and the highlight of the day was Flatford.

The area of Constable Country is regarded as a rural idyll and a prime example of the traditional English lowland landscape where the famous artists John Constable grew up here and gave credit to a childhood spent in this captivating environment. Hence the name ‘Constable Country’.

The weather wasn’t that bad, no blue sky but at least it didn’t rain.

Kế hoạch đi chơi Bỉ vào cuối tuần ngày lễ phục sinh bị phá sản sau vụ khủng bố ở thủ đô Brussels, không đành lòng ở lại Luân Đôn, mình quyết định làm 1 chuyến du ngoạn về vùng quê Constable Country. Constable Country nổi tiếng là nơi đã sản sinh ra hoạ sĩ John Constable, nơi ông lớn lên và đã lấy khung cảnh nơi đây làm bối cảnh chính cho các tác phẩm của ông, mặc dù lúc đó tranh phong cảnh chưa được phổ biến và các tác phẩm của ông không được coi trọng. Cảnh vật nơi mang đậm chất miền quê dân dã của nước Anh và rất bình yên. Rất tiếc bầu trời không được xanh, nếu không thì mình có thể có những quả ảnh đẹp hơn.
